݇Shlāmā — Peace/Hello!
My name is Ms. Toma and I am a proud Assyrian, a certified teacher, and a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. For nearly a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to working with children and even recently earned my Master of Science in Education. Teaching has always been my calling, but deep down, I carried a quiet ache— knowing that my knowledge and experience weren’t being used to serve my own people.
That changed when I began volunteering at my Church’s Assyrian School. There, I discovered that there were very few—if any—educational resources available for teachers and students to use in the classroom. With that realization, I decided to combine my knowledge and experience to begin creating teaching materials that could support our Assyrian children.
When my family saw these creations, they encouraged me to share them with others, believing that Assyrians everywhere could benefit. Although I initially felt inadequate, through God’s help, strength, and courage, I stepped forward in faith and founded Ms. Toma’s Creations.
My goal is to design educational, cultural, and faith-based resources that teachers and families can use to nurture our children’s learning and help preserve our Assyrian language, culture, and faith—no matter where we are in the world. As an educator, I know that what we plant within our children while they are young will stay with them forever—like a seed that grows into a strong and fruitful tree with the right care and guidance.
As it is written:
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6
I pray that as you explore the resources I’ve lovingly created, you’ll be inspired to join me in nurturing what matters most within our children — their faith, identity, and hope for the future.
May the Almighty God bless you and your children always.
With love and blessings,
Ms. Toma
